Gujarat’s Namo Lakshmi Yojana provides ₹50,000 total financial aid to girls in Classes 9-12 studying in government, aided, or private schools to reduce dropout rates and boost education, with funds disbursed monthly (₹500 in Class 9 & 10, ₹750 in Class 11 & 12) and a final installment, for families earning under ₹6 Lakh/year, with registration handled via school nodal officers. 

Scheme Details:

  • Objective: To lower girl child dropout rates in secondary and higher secondary education (Classes 9-12) and encourage completion.
  • Benefit: A total of ₹50,000 financial support for completing Classes 9 to 12.
  • Financial Breakdown:
    • Class 9 & 10: ₹10,000 total (₹500/month for 10 months/year).
    • Class 11 & 12: ₹15,000 total (₹750/month for 10 months/year) + ₹15,000 after passing Class 12 board exams.
  • Budget: ₹1250 crore allocated for the scheme. 
  • Eligibility
  • Girl students from Class 9 to 12.
  • Studying in Government, Government Aided, or Private Schools in Gujarat.
  • Annual family income below ₹6 Lakh. 

How to Apply

  • Process: School Nodal Officers fill out the application form on behalf of eligible students.
  • Documents: Student Aadhaar, Parents Aadhaar, Bank Account Details.
  • Disbursement: Funds transferred directly to the student’s bank account.
